We need one full time English teacher for a mid-April start (date negotiable) at our academy in Jeongeup City, just south of Jeonju and home of Naejang-san, one of the prettiest mountains in South Korea, known for it's autumn colors. It's also on the KTX line from Mokpo to Seoul, making travel to the capital a snap.
Salary: 2.2 million won/month (negotiable based on experience)
Hours: No more than 30/week. Average of 25 to 27. Class typically starts at 3:30 PM and goes until 8:30 PM, Monday to Friday. There may be some lunchtime classes, with a free hot lunch included. Teachers are not required to be within the academy outside of class hours.
Housing included (a large apartment about a 5 minute walk from the academy, furnished with bed, wardrobe, bookshelf, tables and a TV).
National pension and health care included.
Severance pay equal to one month's salary paid upon completion of a one-year contract.
Target students: elementary and middle school students, with some high school or adult classes.
Average class size: 6, but with the occasional one-on-one class.
Class length: 50 minutes.
