Hanok houses translated into song & dance

A combination of instruments and dance broadcast via iPad is "NOKHA," a 50-minute musical interpretation of traditional Korean Hanok houses. NOKHA being an anagram of 'Hanok' itself, is all about interaction, according to composer Jee-Soo Shin. The idea came from a conversation between her and David Kilburn, a UK expat and longtime Hanok activist, to express Shin's interest in interactions between music and architecture . The first performance will be held at Kilburn's Hanok (pictured) in Bukchon, then at Jeonju's Hanok Living Experience Center on May 11th. Courtesy, The Korea Herald.
