Husband's Fury: man thrashes wife and lover roadside
Saturday, 14 August 2010 12:26
A Gwangju man, who was already suspicious, got a tip from his friend: "Your wife getting in the car with another man and they are going to Jeonju, right now." He jumped in his car and tore off to the rest station between here and there. He waited in his car until he saw them. He let them use the facilities, then followed them. However, stealth gave way to anger. About ten kilometers after the rest area (right near Woosok University), the tailing husband lost his cool. [Perhaps he witnessed something going down? -Ed.] He caught up, ran them off the road, got out of his car and proceeded to lay a beating on both of them with a hiking pole. Passersby called police, and they arrived before serious bodily injury or death occurred. Had he used a video camera instead, and followed them all the way to their destination, he would probably have a strong legal case for divorce, custody, and alimony. He had plenty of time to think of that in the car. However, he chose the much more immediate gratification of thrashing them with a hiking pole. Now, as far as the law is concerned, he's 'getting the wrong end of the stick.' Courtesy, Jeonbuk Ilbo.
