Drunk driver sues city for poor roads: wins

Gwangyang: In 2005 a man with a blood alcohol level of 0.183 crashed into a median on the highway. He sued the city for substandard road safety due to faulty or missing impact absorption rods. Now, after a drawn-out tangle of litigation, the supreme court has ruled that he will be paid 480 million won.
